The architect of this building, Ar. Qayyam Jaan, is incorporating decorative louvers on the façade of this project, featuring both horizontal and vertical shapes, which enhance its elegance and beauty. Notably, this type of façade has never been seen before in Pakistan. Initially, our client was working with MS Contractors to achieve this decorative façade using 3 mm thick MS sheet with metallic paint, which proved to be heavy on the budget and prone to issues such as rust and fading paint after 2 to 3 years. The sizes of the louvers are 9”x9”, 12”x9”, and 24”x9”. Opting for the MS option would incur significantly higher costs, weighing almost 50 tones and posing safety concerns when hanging from the existing horizontal beams. Instead, we proposed a design solution with our façade engineering team, utilizing specially designed aluminum profiles that interconnect like a jigsaw puzzle. This allowed us to achieve the desired decorative façade louvers in the required shapes and sizes, with a powder coat finish for longevity. Our solution weighs almost 5 tones, which is one-tenth of the weight of the MS façade, and costs three times less. Additionally, the building's decorative façade louvers have provisions for future installation of LED lights, enhancing its beauty in the evening and allowing for future modifications to attract audiences. Furthermore, we aligned the curtain wall profile with our decorative façade louvers according to shop division, ensuring a better view from inside to outside. The client (Mr. Mustafa Bin Talha), consultant (Mr. Qayyam Jann), and site contractor team (Eng. Azhar Khan) were highly cooperative and eager to understand our proposal, resulting in tangible outcomes visible before your eyes.
